Day 18 - Tour of the Coast

Carrickfergus Castle
Today was an amazing one. Northern Ireland's coast was beyond beautiful, thanks to the clear weather. Our awesome bus driver/tour guide took us on about a 9 hour tour up the coast from Belfast. We stopped every now and then for 5-10 minutes snapping all the pictures we could get.
Our first stop - this is actually on a side the castle above

Everything was amazing, but Giants Causeway and crossing the bridge were definitely the highlights. The rock formations are so bizarre yet amazing. Crossing the bridge in the strong wind was definitely frightening but exciting. The water near the rope bridge looked like the Caribbean- it was so clear and blue! Probably my favorite day of the whole trip so far!!!

Everyone posing on the rocks
sooo green :)

The rope bridge - you had to pay to cross it was so grand!

I made it across!

Pretty grass and flowers grew in the rocks everywhere. The grass was so cushy it was nearly a trampoline it seemed.
The beautiful water, so clear
Giants Causeway!

I guess the rocks were formed from some volcanic reaction..so intriguing!

Serious pic.. haha. I guess a lot of people get their wedding pictures shot here actually, and I can see why- it is so gorgeous.

Beautiful sand in some places, but not exactly bare-foot friendly!
